Webinar Recap: Q2 Product Updates with VP of Product, Krishan Patel

Written by Karli Stone

Apollo.io is committed to pushing the boundary of what’s possible for an end-to-end sales engine.

Recently, we’ve launched some awesome, highly-requested features that are sure to improve your workflow and help you close more deals (also, we have some very exciting updates on the roadmap in the works!).

This article will recap our most recent webinar where VP of Product, Krishan Patel, showcases Apollo’s recent product releases and shares a glimpse of future features that our users can look forward to in 2022.

Apollo’s 2022 product themes

Before we dive into specifics, there are three product themes of the year that we are focused on to keep building towards the future of intelligent selling.

Here are Apollo’s 3 product themes for 2022:

  • Best-in-class data. We all know that, at Apollo, data is king. That’s why we are committed to continually improving the size, quality, and coverage of our B2B database for better prospecting and better results for our users.
  • Intelligence. Another focus of ours is to further develop AI functionality to provide actionable insights across your entire sales process. We want to make sure that it’s easy for you to identify exactly how you can improve your success rates.
  • Killer engagement. Apollo is determined to provide our users with the right automations, personalizations, and channels to engage with their customers with the right messaging and strategies at every stage.

Apollo recent product releases

Now that you have a better idea of our product development goals, here are some of our newest product releases that are helping us achieve our vision:

Source candidates with personal emails

In Apollo, you can now source candidates with personal emails!

What this means is, instead of only prospecting for business emails, you can now search for personal emails in Apollo with zero extra cost.

“This will be so important for recruiters and founders who are looking to improve their sourcing and recruiting functions at their company”, Krishan says.

We know many of our users like to use Apollo for recruiting and consulting purposes. This feature will make it easier to reach out on a personal level for situations where using a business email isn’t the most efficient. The best part – it’s available for use in Apollo now!

Subscribe to alerts for new ICP prospects to add

When you save a search in Apollo, you can now subscribe to email alerts whenever a new record enters Apollo’s database that aligns with your search criteria.

This will give you a continuous stream of best-fit leads in your email inbox at your desired cadence; daily, weekly, or monthly. You’ll be one step closer to closing another customer!

For more information on this new feature, check out our blog post on Search Subscription.

Map contacts to the correct Salesforce account

With this new feature, you will be able to manually map contacts to the correct Salesforce account. What this means is, when you have multiple accounts in Salesforce for the same company (ex. Oracle India, Oracle North America, and Oracle South America), Apollo will allow you to choose which account you want to map a contact to.

“This gives you much more control over your Salesforce data”, Krishan says, “You can keep your CRM up-to-date without manual cleaning”.

Enable this feature today by going to Settings > Prospecting Configuration and navigating to the Multiple Accounts section.

Live call coaching and collaboration (dropping soon!)

Introducing the new and improved click-to-call Dialer!

Sales leaders can join and speak to reps on calls without the prospects hearing and provide live call coaching to their sales reps.

“When people were in an office, it would be very common for managers and reps to sit in the same room to be on calls and talk to each other while they were selling,” says Krishan, “You can now do that in a remote environment with live call coaching and whisper”.

Sequence with Microsoft Exchange Emails

This is another awesome Apollo rollout for free users.

If you use any of the Microsoft Exchange domains, you will now be able to use our sequencing feature within Apollo! Sequences are one of our most powerful features, and we are excited to be opening the gates to more users.

The Apollo-Gong partnership

Beyond feature releases, there’s another major announcement here at Apollo.io. We are partnering with the world’s leading Revenue Intelligence platform, Gong!

There are two pieces to this partnership:

  1. Pricing Discount – Available Now! All new Apollo users who have a Gong account are eligible for a 70% discount on our Professional plan.
  2. Data Integration – Coming Soon! Gong will integrate Apollo’s world-class B2B database into their platform to help you identify missing stakeholders in deals and get in touch with them to maximize your win rates. Apollo and Gong are also working together on integrations that will allow Apollo’s calls to be directly logged into Gong.

Some more features Apollo users have to look forward to

To keep building the future of intelligent selling, we of course have even more on the horizon for the Apollo platform.

Krishan shared a snapshot of some of the key product features you can expect to see by the end of the year.

  • Intent Data. In the next few months, you can expect to see intent data in Apollo. We will provide our users with deepened intelligence through third-party intent data that will help you understand when accounts are expressing buying intent for your product.
  • Sequence Assistance. With Sequence Assistance, you will be able to get real-time feedback on how to not only improve your deliverability but also how to improve your success rates for your sequences. Apollo will help you understand when you are performing below benchmarks and what you can do to improve!
  • LinkedIn Automation. We are boosting Apollo-LinkedIn capabilities! You can expect to see more advanced automation through Apollo as you prospect on LinkedIn in Q3/Q4.
  • Salesforce AppExchange Integration. Within Salesforce, you will be able to analyze, cleanse, and enrich data, as well as see all of your Apollo research directly within Salesforce profiles!
  • CRM Data Center. With this product feature, Apollo will show you just how much data is out-of-date from your CRM, where the gaps in your ICP are, and then help you fix it with automation.

In Closing

When it comes to our sales software, good is never good enough.

Apollo is continuously improving for our users; so they can stay on the forefront of their market and move their business forward with advanced intelligence and automation.
